NB20E and NB25E Local Bridges [Cabletron Systems Inc]

NB20E and NB25E Local Bridges are designed to connect two local-areanetwork segments. Both of these bridges comply with IEEE 802.1/802.3standards as well as the SNMP management standard. These two bridgessupport multiple media types including unshielded/shielded twisted pair,fiber-optic and thin/thick coaxial cabling.The Source Address Table of the NB20E can hold up to 2048 addresses,filtering at a rate of 15, packets per second and forwarding at a rateof 11,600 packets per second. The NB25E can hold up to 8191 addresses,filtering at a rate of 28, packets per second and forwarding at a rateof 11,600 packets per second. Both products are equipped with externalswitches which provide the option to network managers to define theremote bridge and filter broadcast packets.
